PROJECTS
Engineering in Practice
Space Acoustics supports the development of European space instruments and launch vehicles in mechanical stress analysis and design, advanced materials applications, shock and vibration, and mechanisms.
Projects include the SMILE Soft X-Ray Imager (radiation shutter mechanism design, shock and vibration testing support, and magnetic analysis support), as well as telescope thermo-elastic analysis.
For the Ariane 6 and Vega-E launch vehicles, Space Acoustics provides multi-launch payload adapter development support and ground LOX/LH4 fuel umbilical connector development, respectively.

SPACE THERMAL
Beyond acoustics
Space Acoustics also specializes in thermal engineering, with applications mainly in spacecraft including ESA SMILE SXI (instrument thermal lead), ESA Envision VenSpec-H (thermal lead) and in robotics (Lunar Leaper moon exploration) and terrestrial robotic actuator design.
